IBM Tivoli Storage Manager ISC & Administration Center requirements:
If you remember from day one Administration Center is a web-based interface that can be used to centrally configure and manage IBM Tivoli Storage Manager Servers. It’s actually your main GUI interface to manage your TSM Server. Administration Center integrates into IBM Integrated Solution Console referred to it as ISC. ISC is an IBM Web sphere application which allows you to install and access components provided by multiple IBM applications. Hmmm, if ISC & Administration Center are still not clear to you don’t worry it will get to be clear when you finish the installation of ISC & Administration Center and start using them.
Ok, let’s get back to the point. IBM Tivoli Storage Manager ISC & Administration requirements are often updated and can be found at IBM TSM Site Here. A list which was the most updated when this article was written is below, but always refer to IBM TSM site as pointed earlier for the most updated version.

Operating System |
The machine hosting the administration center can be the same machine as the server if it meets the hardware/ software requirements and is running one of the operating systems shown in the table below. |
|
Communication Protocol |
Network connectivity: To use the console across a network, the following items are required for the machine:
|
|
Additional Software |
The Tivoli Storage Manager Administration Center Web interface for the server and a Web client interface for client machines require a Java Swing-capable (at JRE 1.4.2) Web browser:
For platform and browser-specfic JRE notes, see the README file available with the product. |
