Tivoli Storage Manager Packaging Contents & System Requirements (DAY 2)

Finally Day two is ready to be published. I know quite few readers were waiting for it. The surprise we have promised about that our tutorial from Day 3 on will include videos of the steps we used in the installation and configuration. We are sorry that the video quality is not too high & does not include sound, but that is how much efforts our team is able to handle at the moment. We are considering to release a new set of video & re-clean up the whole tutorial after finishing it. So stay tuned.

Today we will cover IBM Tivoli Storage Manager Packaging Contents & requirements to prepare you for the TSM installation in Day 3 . We will start by discussing the IBM Tivoli Storage Manager Packaging Contents, as its the first thing you will see when you receive your TSM Package. After that today we will cover the requirement for each component of IBM Tivoli Storage Manager, as meeting the requirements before starting the installation will save you the hassle of trying to install TSM on a setup which does not meet the requirements. After helping you find out about the requirements of the IBM Tivoli Storage Manager, we will show you how to install IBM Tivoli Storage Manager in Day 3.

    Sorry I have got really caught in many projects, specially a large TFCM project for one of the large banks which got me of the blog for some time. I have just uploaded Part 3 & 4 of the tutorial & will try to post part 5 tomorrow.

    TSM has always been worth learning, but for the realy techie. If you think you are worth your salt, then definitively its worth learning.
