IBM Tivoli Storage Manager 5.5 Licensing

IBM TSM 5.5 come with three license schema as below:

IBM Tivoli Storage Manager 5.5 Basic Version requires tsmbasic.lic license file

IBM Tivoli Storage Manager 5.5 Extended Edition requires tsmee.lic license file

IBM Tivoli Storage Manager 5.5 Retention Edition requires dataret.lic licesne file.

Note:  License can’t be mixed at the site level.

    Hi Raymond,

    I am glad you like it, though unfortunately I am not doing much with TSM lately as I moved to VMware(Career shift). Though I kept operating this blog and add to it every now and then. Though a lot of what I am posting here today is more of how to backup a virtual environment including how to use TSM for that, as well covering other products. Not many more TSM tutorials as it used to.
